Yoga Apparel Line

Designing an apparel line on your own is no easy task. Compounded by a limited promotional budget, I was perplexed as to how to make this brand seem bigger than it was. We opted for the wide open spaces of Utah, a brilliant photographer, and some incredible backdrops. The first was shot in the mountains. The second was shot at about 5:00 a.m. on the Salt Flats in Utah, along the border of Nevada. 3 people and a truck is all it took to get this amazing shot thanks to photographer, Butch Adams. The yoga apparel line was created and designed by Teresa Otul Cummings, along with some talented assistance from a team of freelancers. One thing this client has taught me is you can create some great work on a small budget. To see more of this yoga apparel line and brand development please visit my website at www.otulcummings.com

Typographical Identity Explorations

Typography is a passion of mine, and I love being able to explore all the nuances in a brand identity exploration. I really liked these elegant yet whimsical studies for a hotel. Like a fine wine label, these are intricate and the type is customized and hand rendered to say this is a one of a kind experience.

Identity Launch for Developer

This identity campaign and launch was created for a real estate developer. The project included identity explorations and campaign work, as well as storefront window signage that would cover a few city blocks. The photography was pulled from archival material from the historic buildings that were renovated, and I also used Rodney Smith Photography stock imagery. His work is a feast for the eyes, and I was thrilled to be able to use his stock in this campaign. The entire campaign had a nostalgic and glam feel.

L.L. Bean Packaging

Straight from the archives of the museum, I designed a packaging system based entirely on ephemera from their background. Old catalog covers, photographs, textures of wood, all played a part in bringing this system to life. The museum was rich with hundreds of drawers of old product, photography, vintage catalogs.
